investigation 4 math reflections

1) For two parallelograms to be alike thier angles have to be the same and their ratios.

2)To find the missing side length you need to figure out the scale factor and then use it on the missing side length.

3)The other side lengths should be 10 beacause the scale factor is 2.5, so you you multiply 2.5 and 4 and you get 10.

I figured out which chararcters were simialar to mug wump by seeing which ones have corresponding angels or if they have scale factors. I figured out which ones weren't simailar by seeing if they were multiplied to get the same numbers. Like if x was multiplied by 2 and y stayed the same then that means that they aren't similar. But if x and y were multiplied by 2 they're similar. Yes Pug would be similar, the scale factor from Pug to Mug is times 4. 16 Mugs would fit into one Pug.

Assignment #3

1) The new side lengths are 4in. by 5in. The original side lengths are 50% more than the new side lengths.
2) The angles of the original paper and the new paper are corresponding angles, because no matter what you do the angles will stay the same.
3) The original area is 80in. and the new area is 20in. The new area is 4 times smaller than the original.

assignment #2

I think Mrs. Domenico is having us blog in math class because maybe we are going to do homework on here which would be easier for her to check instead of having lots of papers. Then she will really know if we did our homework or not. It will help us by being able to look at other people's blogs in our school and stuff to see what they are writting.
